From USF to the FIBA World Cup, Fortune Solomon '16 has taken his love for basketball global and has helped South Sudan earn its first-ever Olympic berth in any sport! In 2014, Fortune Solomon was hired at the University of San Francisco as a Graduate Assistant for the Dons men's basketball team while completing his Sport Management Master's degree. After graduating from USF, Fortune spent several years working in the NBA, as a trainer for the Oklahoma City Thunder and as the assistant coach for the South Bay Lakers. Now as the Player Development Analyst for South Sudan, Solomon has helped this newly liberated country defy the odds and qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as the highest-ranked African team.
