Two days ago, greenpeace_france activists protested the arrival of a floating methane gas (LNG) terminal at Le Havre. This destructive project promoted by totalenergies and approved by EmmanuelMacron will be an entry point for even more fossil gas into France, shale gas in particular, even though the French government has banned the production of shale gas for the past ten years. It would enable even more American gas imports, and could risk the health & safety of U.S. Gulf Coast frontline communities. GAS KILLS LNG, or methane gas, is a planet-heating fossil fuel and it’s helping drive the climate crisis filling our air, forests, cities, and oceans with increased pollution & extreme weather.
