The drive to Idaho City is a pretty one and it only takes about 50-60 minutes to get there from Boise. We took the family and went on a hike that’s perfect if you have kids under 10. 🌲 100 years ago Idaho City was the biggest city in the Pacific Northwest. Now home to about 500 residents it’s a town that time forgot, and depending on your view that’s what gives Idaho City it’s charm. Nestled inside the Boise Basin mountains and it features great spots for off-road vehicles, hiking trails and mountain biking.
