In the face of life's challenges, Dan found solace in running when his path intersected with his wife's battle against type 1 diabetes. The family has been running ever since. Dan's own battle with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2019 only fueled the determination. His dream of IRONMAN Kona inspired him to seize every moment, transcending his diagnosis to inspire others. Elsa, standing strong beside him, took up Ultrarunning, harnessing races to fuel their shared mission: raising awareness for Alzheimer's and better brain health.
