"Saying goodbye to a parent is not easy, especially when you lose them in a traumatic way."
Sky Grenstiner lost her father to suicide and knows all too well the pain and trauma that a loss like this can cause. To cope with her anxiety, depression and grief, she sought out more frequent therapy sessions, increased her medication dosage, and used the Lost&Found Advocates program to check in with herself and learn how to advocate for herself and others.
Sky now knows to look for warning signs in any and all forms. She hopes that normalizing the conversation about mental health will decrease the rates of suicide.
