✨ Sea otter self care✨ It's #SeaOtterAwarenessWeek, and we think you otter know some #FunFacts about sea otters: 1️⃣ Sea otters have the densest fur in the animal kingdom, with their fur containing 600,000 to 1,000,000 hair follicles per square inch. 2️⃣ While grooming, otters force air bubbles down next to their skin. These bubbles act as insulation and provide buoyancy. 3️⃣ Sea otters often have a favorite rock for cracking open shellfish and clams. 4️⃣ They may keep this rock in a “pocket” created by folds of loose skin across their chests making a pouch under each forearm.
