The Seattle Sounders have finally unveiled their new crest as part of their evolved visual identity ahead of the organization’s 50th anniversary in 2024. With the club having one of the most iconic and beloved crests in the league, this new look has a high bar to clear. Still, these changes come after a long development process with supporters, community members, and other stakeholders to land on an updated visual identity that seeks to embrace the Sounders’ rich history and look towards the future of this storied team. Although the new crest does err on the side of simplicity, it’s also cleverly maintained portions of the old badge that many of us loved, like the Space Needle and the unique outline amongst MLS crests.
