COVID-19 restrictions left many people feeling isolated, scared, and unsure of what the future would hold for their jobs, families, and wellbeing. Erika Tordsen experienced this when she was forced to give birth to her first son by herself and then adapt to life with a newborn without the support of friends and family. The months that followed her son's birth were the darkest months of her life, when they should've been the best moments instead.
This story is part of our
#30Days30Stories project for
#NationalSuicidePreventionMonth where we share stories of resilience from those struggling with mental health or suicide related challenges.
