I have to admit I love using a 24 or 35mm lens most of the time. But a 50mm is also a great lens to add to your kit & heres why. 📍1. Pleasing to the human eye- on a full frame camera the field of view of a 50mm lens looks very similar to how we see with the human eye. 📍2. It’s great for portraits - with gorgeous shallow depth of field you get really nice and flattering professional images. Especially if you have an f/1.4 or f/1.2 50mm it’s BUTTERY. 📍3. 50mm lenses are standard 50mm lenses can be found at a pretty affordable price. My first 50mm lens from Sony was less than $300! 📍4. It’s easy to carry around and discreet - lighter is better especially if you’re traveling. 📍5.
