For nearly 20 years and counting, our Critical Care Transport team has worked to bring the specialized expertise of Children’s to patients and families out in the community. What began as ground, neonatal-only transports has continuously expanded in scope and reach. Today, the team is equipped with 4 dedicated ambulances, a helicopter and 1 fixed-wing plane, allowing us to provide state-of-the-art care and transportation to pediatric patients ranging from extreme prematurity through adolescence throughout the Midwest and beyond.  We’re proud to be the only transport team in Nebraska specializing in the stabilization and care of neonatal and pediatric patients and accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). As one of the largest pediatric teams in the nation, Children’s transport team has traveled to 48 states since the program’s inception and is on target to complete approximately 3,000 calls per year.
