āØļø Cultural Exchange: Philippines and Cuba šµš šØšŗ
Humphrey fellows camillediola from the Philippines šµš and rocio.baro1993 from Cuba šØšŗ introduced each other's cultures.
šµš Camille Diola, flashing her warm Filipino smile and passion for Filipino cuisine, decided to introduce to us national dessert - Turon.
Camille explained, "Turon, a Filipino local dessert and snack with influences from Spanish and Southeast Asian cuisines. It's a sweet reminder that our diversity is our strength."
šØšŗ On the other side of the cultural spectrum, Rocio Baro, a spirited ambassador of Cuban heritage, regaled Camille with tales of Cuba's vibrant music, dance, and its world-renowned cuisine.
As they shared their cultural stories, Camille and Rocio found common ground in their appreciation for family and traditions.
In a world where borders often separate us, the Humphrey Program reminds of the boundless potential for connection and understanding through international cooperation.
