Day 9 – Grief There is no timeline for grief. It is a partner and a shadow, arriving often without warning, and certainly, without an invite. It overstays its welcome, and just moves right in. Sometimes, it gives you space. Often, it smothers. Sometimes it numbs, other times it screams. It doesn’t wait for you to be ready, doesn’t give you time to prepare. Like a weighted blanket, it can comfort, or suffocate. Grief shakes our ground, startles our souls, and casts doubts where they never lived. It reveals and releases. trembles our hands, breaks our hearts. And yet, it is the companion when you are most lost, moving you closer to that which you miss most. It is the reminder of joy, the memory of love, and the path to healing. Which doesn’t erase the pain, or lift the weight.
