Repost from a couple years ago ... “This picture is important to me, because it reminds me I don't have to play small anymore. It tells the story of a girl who once felt invisible and unseen. Heavy yet insignificant. Her laughter restrained. Her light dimmed. Unsure of her worth and her place in this world. My body is in the best shape of its life. But I'd argue, my mind is in even better shape. Strength and fitness have changed my life. From the inside out. I own my body. It is the only residence for my heart and mind. Why did it take so long for me to pay attention to that? There's a million ways to answer that question. But more importantly, there's also a million ways to change that. And it is never too late to start. I am grateful for the place and the people at Bodies By Burgoon who re-introduced me to my authentic self. The girl that has been lost over the years. The journey has been one that has transformed me into the strongest version of myself. And I'm just getting starte...
