Time is finite. Love need not be. His last words. We all know this to be true. And yet we waste time anyway. Get caught up in life and its busyness. We forget to make time for meaningful moments. We are afraid to say what we really feel. We hesitate to go for what we want because we don’t want to get hurt or fail. . The thing is this. I know so many people hurting and grieving right now. From loss, health scares, broken hearts, unmet expectations. And so on. And we sit here, hurting in our own little spaces. Wondering why we feel so alone. Feeling like we are alone. But we aren’t. . We need to stop wasting time. We need to tell people we love them. Show them we care. Be honest with them. Liberate ourselves from rules and ‘shoulds’ and ‘should nots’ and JUST SHOW UP. Next to the ones we love. . Hold them. Love them. Tell your people what they mean to you. Sit next to them in their pain. Remind them you are there. Seeing them. Hearing them. Loving them. .
