I put on this tank top before I headed to the gym today. I wondered if it was perhaps a bit presumptuous. But then I thought, if I don't believe it, who will?
Last week, I missed my third lift on bench. I was unhappy with myself, but some days your body is tired. Or your form not where it needs to be.
Today, I chose to believe that last week's miss would not define this week's performance. Mind over matter. Don't let it get to your head. Step up and do the work you know you can do.
And I walked away with a PR on bench at 122.5lbs.
Shameless brag? Maybe a little. But I prefer to think of it more as documentation of my hard work and dedication. Motivation to remind myself, I can do it. And the knowledge that my body is capable of more than I ever thought possible.
Getting closer to the big plates and pressing my body weight. WOOP!!!
