Me. Several months ago. Maybe almost a year ago? And probably 15 pounds heavier than I am now. Sometimes it's hard to look at pictures of ourselves with love. It takes practice. And intention. I look at this picture and feel proud because I know I had already made progress at this point. Proud, because I have worked hard to love myself and find the strongest version of myself. But I also look at this and feel the voice of perfectionism try to interrupt the voice of self love. This unkind voice says things like, 'Look at that ridiculous face your making' or 'your stomach looks big' or 'this isn't how these kinds of fitness pictures look in magazines - they're not all red faced with sweat filled hair'. Ridiculous, really. To let that unkind voice have any air time in our heads and hearts. We need to speak love to ourselves. We need to practice it. Be intentional with it. Because no matter your size. No matter your hair color, eye color, shape, height, etc. No matter the object of our cr...
