I used to call him my little peanut. All 4lbs, 10oz of him at birth. Now he's a freshman in high school and almost as tall as me. From kindergarten when he was eager to be a big boy, he excitedly posed for a photo, eagerly reached out for a hug and then hung on a little tighter before walking into school. To middle school where he argued against but then begrudgingly posed for the photo, and then asked me to hide behind a bush while watching for his bus to come. To today, where regardless of his opinion, he willingly posed for the photo on the left, and on his own, reached out to give me a hug and told me he loved me. Goodness I love this kid and his heart.
