Cadets gathered on the Honor Court last week for the annual Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration.
The wreath laying ceremony and legacy-honoring event included one of the original members - Lt. Col. (ret) James Harvey - as well as family members of other original Tuskegee Airmen.
Keynote speaker Lt. Col. (ret) Tony Marshall, Class of 1968, talked about the debt of gratitude owed the Tuskegee Airmen for opening doors and breaking down barriers.
The Tuskegee Airmen’s flying skills and success during World War II earned them three Distinguished Unit Citations as well as numerous individual awards. They are a true example of service before self and excellence in all they did.
