#FirstieFriday - Denim Day edition. C1C Lexi de Villiers is among the cadets wearing denim today to stand up against harmful notions and myths surrounding sexual assault. Lexi is a squadron Teal Rope and says she got involved to support her fellow cadets in the way she needed support as a freshman, “Wearing the rope to me means being there for anyone, anytime, for anything. I value being someone people can reach out to and helping others become their best self.” Some advice she would give to incoming cadets is to stay true to yourself, "The Academy can be a challenging environment, and your priorities will certainly shift, but you should continue to devote yourself to what you personally value. Keep pursuing your hobbies, individual goals, and what makes you happy." When she isn't at USAFA, Lexi loves to ski, thrift, and play tennis. Lexi is a behavioral science major and will be going into cyberspace operations after graduation. #usafa2023 #leadersofcharacter
