This week's #FirstieFriday is no stranger to military service. Joseph Hughes' dad retired after 28 years in the @usairforce, his sister recently graduated from the @usnavalacademy and his brother served in the @marines. Joe chose to attend #youracademy for the chance to fly and pursue a career path that inspires him alongside people who challenge him. Joe says he's definitely been challenged along his journey, but those struggles have helped him gain humility and sincere admiration for the mentorship of others. The data science major is a member of the combat shooting team, a cadre for the special warfare club and Group 2 director of operations. He's been training to become a combat rescue officer after he graduates and was selected at phase II training to continue that journey.
