Our final #FirstieFriday for the Class of 2022 is now technically a #2ndLtFriday - because we couldn't let 2nd Lt. Cameo Stapleton go without saying thanks for all of her support this semester! Cameo says she came to the academy for the opportunities, but stayed because of the people she met and her desire to serve. She said it’s not every day you meet individuals as dedicated and driven as the ones she had the pleasure of knowing here at #youracademy. As for lessons learned, Cameo says, "Work as hard as you can in everything you do, but make time for yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Make mistakes! If you’re not failing at things, then you’re not growing!” Her advice to other cadets, “Chase what fulfills you and makes you excited to wake up in the morning. Invest in the people around you because they’re far more important than any tangible thing.” The biology major was captain of the women's gymnastics team and the cadet in charge of Reformed University Fellowship. ...
