Selfless service is at the core of the C2C Manmeet (Shabri) Pelia. Shabri was raised in the Sikh and South Asian culture and 'seva,' or selfless service, is a daily practice in her household. She says her upbringing not only influenced her decision to serve her country but also how she interacts with the world around her, often advocating for kindness and understanding for those who are from different backgrounds. Shabri is hoping to someday be a test pilot and astronaut and has been pursuing those interests through involvement in L'Space Academy, a NASA workforce training program and as a Brooke Owens Fellow, a fellowship promoting women in the aerospace arena.
