Developing leaders of character is a primary focus at #youracademy that requires our cadets to develop ethical judgment, moral decision-making and a culture of dignity and respect for all. Superintendent Lt. Gen. Richard Clark foot-stomped those principles during the opening session of the National Character and Leadership Symposium. Clark challenged cadets and other participants to take lessons from the experiences of the speakers- especially speakers who take them out of their comfort zones- presenting perspectives or views different from their own. Keynote speaker Robert Woodson, Sr also encouraged cadets to get out of their comfort zones- as he said that is where growth occurs. Woodson, an Air Force veteran, also said growth comes often from how we react to the challenges we face, rather than from the challenges themselves. Woodson said we should not be defined by the failures of our past, but by the promise of our future. #NCLS2022 continues through Friday. #leadersofch...
