C1C Derrick Dye, CS-34, is this week’s #FirstieFriday! Dye is from Hagerstown, Maryland, and is a cadet with prior enlisted experience as an Air Force Firefighter.     He said he came to the Academy to push himself to reach his full potential. He would like to fly search and rescue helicopters.     Dye is the Cadet Wing Operations Center Chief, a member of the Bluebards Theatre Troupe and the head manager for the Women’s Volleyball Team.     “From Ops Air Force, to Habitat for Humanity, the Academy has so many opportunities to travel and meet new people — take advantage of new experiences outside your comfort zone.”    He said his best advice for those interested in the Academy is to form a good support system, including your fellow cadets.     “The people you meet here you will lean on for your entire four years and into the future.” #YourAcademy #FamilyWeek
