(Ret.) Col. Michael Black,1985 grad, got the leadership bug at the Academy. He said it developed in him a lifelong interest in becoming a better leader and preparing the next generation of leaders.     And it didn't just stop with with his son, 1st Lt. Clinton Black, a 2017 graduate, serving in the 2nd Space Operations Squadron (SOPS). He currently mentors three Third Class Cadets at the Academy.    Black served as a communications/cyber officer.
