Ernie Jackson and Clarence Newsome were @dukefootball's first Black scholarship student-athletes. One of the Blue Devils' all-time greats, Jackson was enshrined in the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 1986. Newsome struggled with injuries throughout his career, but stayed at Duke to earn two graduate degrees from @dukedivinity and later served on the university's Board of Trustees. #BlackHistoryMonth
