In honor of #SickleCellAwarenessMonth, Children’s hosted its first-ever Sickle Cell Family Education Day for local patients and families affected by this condition. The event was held at the Salvation Army Kroc Center and hosted in partnership with the Nebraska Chapter of the nbd_foundation and nebraskamed. In total, the event brought together 71 attendees and 41 volunteers for a jam-packed day of learning, networking, interactive activities and carnival games.
