While walking home from his work at the Target across from campus, third year Loyola student Kian Jodloski was victim of an armed robbery with a knife on Jan. 13.
First approached by two young teens seeking to call their mother, Jodloski’s was held at knifepoint as his phone was taken and demanded to share the password.
Although he was unable to retrieve his phone, Jodloski urged students to still treat strangers with compassion in an interview with The Phoenix.
“I am not going to stop helping people just because of this instance, but I will be more aware of my context and surroundings,” Jodloski said.
After the robbery, Loyola Campus Safety sent an email to students directing them to run if threatened and to alert campus safety.
