Centre[3] is pleased to present "Nathan Eugene Carson: In Love". “Nathan Eugene Carson: In Love” is part of our short video series, “Collapsing the Distance Between Us.” Each piece in this series goes behind the scenes, visiting different art studios to listen and learn from local artists and their unique artistic practices. Nathan Eugene Carson is a Hamilton based, multi-media artist. His paintings and mixed media works on paper explore figures, animals, and other hybrid creatures of his personal experiences and imagination. Richly pigmented and textured surfaces layer together narratives that integrate themes of Black identity, autobiographical memories, and elements of charged symbolism.
