Today, we take a moment to reflect on the events that unfolded on October 3rd, a day forever etched in history. On this day in 1993, the world witnessed the tragic events known as the Battle of Mogadishu, which later inspired the book and movie “Black Hawk Down.” The Battle of Mogadishu was part of a larger military operation called Operation Gothic Serpent, carried out by U.S. forces in Somalia.
