Well, that es-skull-lated quickly... Hats off to the security screening teams at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)! We make no bones about giving praise where praise is due. And for this bone-a-fide Good Catch, it’s definitely due! In this case it was a cranium – filled with putty – with wiring and a 9-volt battery attached (all together it resembled an improvised explosive device). Our team of highly skulled officers then con-skull-ted with the SLC Police (Airport Division), and they contacted the passenger. A skele-ton of questions were asked, and the team determined the individual was a traveling neurosurgeon with a skull-shaped training aid (for practicing lobotomies 😰).
