Best protein for getting shredded? Well, this is a bit of a trick question. In a nutshell, to get shredded, we need to burn more calories than we consume. So, technically, any protein source could possibly work, assuming you are still in a caloric deficit. Good thing we don’t live in a nutshell and I can give some advice about decent protein sources while cutting. For protein powder you will want to look for an “isolate” protein. Isolate proteins are comprised of at least 90% protein. In other words, you are getting almost purely protein and very little carbs and fats. Some powders out there will have lots of fat and carbs added, which isn’t “unhealthy” but may not fit with your goals for losing fat. If you choose Isolate proteins this allows you to “spend” those fat and carb macros at other meals or with other foods.
