Rehabilitation is a double-edged sword
Two Beautiful horses that spent time here recuperating went home with more self-awareness of their body.
These lucky horses have amazing owners with a better understanding of why the horse reacts in the way it reacts.
• pain
• not aware where they place their legs
• shut down
• over stimulated
• too much too soon, and the body was not ready yet for the workload.
• no fluidity in their movement
• locking joints and stiff legs to maintain stability
• overcompensating, building muscles on one side of the body.
• atrophy on the other side of the body
• restrictions through the fascia
And with every horse that arrives here, I learn more
There is always another layer to discover.
Now the place feels empty and ready for new horses to arrive.
