Flamingo is way at the end of the @evergladesnps and became one of my favorite spots in a matter of moments. So much of the Everglades National Park is some sort of swamp or wetlands so it threw me off guard to find a part that was dry and open. It felt like I was transported to somewhere in the Midwest. The Flamingo Prairie trail is the dream of a minimalist with being able to pick individual trees as one of the only subjects to be in the photo. Even using a 200mm lens still feels like you are entirely out in the open.
