I could learn a thing or two about celebrating yourself and not downplaying your success from this lady @msrachelhollis. • Last week I had a really amazing honor of being named the best Lifestyle Photographer in Austin by @peerspace. I shared it online, but with hesitation. And you wanna know how I reacted when my dozens of friends tried to congratulate me in person? I literally said, “Oh shut up.” Or “Ah whatever haha.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ I told people to SHUT UP for complimenting me. Woooow. This girl needs to #STOPAPOLOGIZING and learn to own her successes as much as she owns her failures (I’m good at that part tbh). Like maybe the fact that I got to shoot with... @msrachelhollis , @timferriss and tons of other incredible people last year...means something? I guess it’s a process 🤷🏻‍♀️ • But seriously...thank you and I appreciate the kind words and it means a lot that other people actually recognize the incredibly hard work I’m putting in these days ❣️
