Beer 1: The 2020 UCD Iron Brew winning beer, Caledonian Nights Scottish Export Ale. UCD Brewing Science program has a competition each year where student teams enter unique beers to be judged by industry professionals. The winners work with us to scale their beer up on our brewing system and bring it to the community. A portion of proceeds supports the UC Davis Department of Food Science and Technology which is the home of the Brewing Science program.  . The beer is 5.6% ABV, amber in color featuring premier local Admiral Gallagher's Best floor malt and fermented with UCD Alum White Labs Scottish Ale yeast giving a full bodied mouthfeel with notes of caramel.
