#Regram @vugreenhouses ・・・ We had an exciting and excellent night-blooming experience last night with the multiple flowering of Selenicereus pteranthus. 17 strong, the majority of them students, were up to see this blooming event at 10pm. After patiently putting up with my request for a group picture, individuals made room for each other to look at, appreciate and photograph the cactus flowers, also taking in the fragrance of a nearby orchid #Brassavola nodosa. Several looked in next door at the flowering of Billbergia zebrina which I have featured recently through a couple of series of images on this site. After enjoying this experience both as a group and in smaller parties thereof, I found myself turning out the lights, checking the greenhouses and locking up at just after 10:30, having heard numerous appreciative comments and knowing that this evening won’t be forgotten soon by any of the participants.
