#GayleSayers, @chicagobears Hall of Fame RB, passed away today at 77. His career was cut short by injuries, but what he accomplished in 7 seasons (essentially 5-he played a total of 4 games in his last 2 seasons) was Legendary. His running style was described as “perfection” & “poetry in motion.” One of the most elusive runners ever, Sayers once totaled Six touchdowns in single game- 4 rushing, 1 receiving and 1 punt return. Gale’s friendship with #BrianPiccolo, his teammate with Chicago who was dying from cancer, was turned into the film #BriansSong.
