Our penultimate draft prospect profile will be an unlikely but fun pick in prep RHP Dylan Lesko. Many out there believe there is a large chance that a pitcher will not be taken inside the top 10 with the prospect pool being loaded with solid hitters and position players. Even with that being the case, let’s take a closer look at this young arm, who many think is the best pitcher in this class, and see what he has to offer. Lesko, a Vanderbilt commit, only throws three pitches but all are very effective, especially his changeup that has a 70-grade by many scouts. Dylan’s fastball averages around the 93-94 MPH mark and has topped out in the upper 90’s. The control of his pitches is also something he maintains and is certainly a strength that has been widely recognized.
