Five people were shot at morganstateu Tuesday night, four of them students at the university. Just before 9:30 p.m., Morgan State police patrolling the campus heard gunshots and notified the Baltimore Police Department. At the scene, officers saw that five people had been shot and multiple windows had been shattered, leading them to believe there was an active shooter. Police ordered a shelter-in-place on campus and searched and cleared surrounding buildings. The victims ages range from 18 to 22 years old. Four of them are men,and one is a woman. All of their injuries are non-life-threatening. No suspects have been identified or arrested. Police are asking concerned family members to avoid campus and report to the Safeway parking lot at 4401 Harford Road. Classes at the university are canceled Wednesday, and counselors will be on campus.
