#WhyIRelayWednesday 💜 “I Relay for my grandfather, Pasquale Scopelliti. My grandpa lost his fight to prostate cancer on April 2nd, 2001 and was one of the strongest and most selfless people you would have ever meet. Him and my grandma came to America in 1956 to settle down and start a family. He soon began learning English, working day/night shifts, and much more just to be able to provide for his wife and kids. In April of 2000 my grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was diagnosed shortly after loosing his brother to prostate cancer, however my grandfather did not let cancer stand in his way.  Before losing his battle, he was able to walk my mom down the aisle and be there for those he needed him. While I sadly never had the opportunity to meet my grandfather I admire him and all he has done for my family and I. I Relay for my grandpa and so no one will ever have to hear the words “you have cancer” again.” - Serafina Fox, Director
