Kim McNeill, head coach of @ecuwbb, spoke with the 2023 class of teen volunteers during the Communication, Leadership, and Embracing the Journey series hosted by ECU Health Medical Center Volunteer Services. Coach McNeill shared her journey in women's collegiate basketball and provided insightful details on managing people, mentorship and being a role model. Her exceptional leadership skills and coaching expertise earned her the title of 2022-2023 Coach of the Year by the American Athletic Conference after leading the Pirates to a 20-win season – resulting in the ECU Women's Basketball team becoming the 2023 AAC champions.💜💛 The Volunteen program at ECU Health is designed to teach students ages 15-17 the value of community service, provide experiences that foster growth and maturity and cultivate an interest in health careers.
