Hurricane Idalia has made landfall – this is a reminder to remain prepared for severe weather. Chris Starbuck, emergency response coordinator for the Eastern Health Care Preparedness Coalition (EHCPC), recommends having a plan in place for your family—including the supplies you may need in the event of an emergency. Creating a plan that meets the specific needs of your household and building an emergency kit that contains at least 72 hours’ worth of supplies can help you stay adequately prepared for a natural disaster. Preparedness kits should include important phone numbers, documents like birth certificates, marriage certificates, and wills, and a first aid kit. 🔁 Please share this post to help keep yourself and your family safe and prepared.
