A Southeast Portland movie house, with a history that includes booking eveything from vaudeville acts to porn fare, has been transformed into the Portland Art Museum’s PAM CUT: Center for an Untold Tomorrow’s new multimedia space, the Tomorrow Theater. The renovated venue, formerly known as the Oregon Theater, will open on Nov. 3, and feature an eclectic series of programs. The opening events include an appearance by artist and musician David Byrne, known as a songwriter and lead singer for Talking Heads, the Broadway production “American Utopia,” and much more.
