Lights, cameras, action! Project SEARCH students recently had the opportunity to tour Vidant Health’s Marketing & Communications in-house studio, to put their video production and on-air talents to the test! This experience is one of many provided by the Project SEARCH program, which Vidant Medical Center (VMC)—in partnership with organizations across eastern North Carolina—hosts for exceptional Pitt County students. The Project SEARCH program at VMC began in 2015 through partnerships with Pitt County Schools, RHA Health Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, and NC Council on Developmental Disabilities. Project SEARCH is an international transition program that provides real-life work experiences to high school graduates with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
