Jupiter really hits the spot⁣ ⁣ The largest moon in the solar system, Jupiter's moon Ganymede, casts a large shadow on the gas giant as it passes between the planet and the Sun. Eclipses occur more often on Jupiter because it has four large moons and many more smaller moons, which frequently pass between the Sun and the planet. In a week's time, Ganymede transits once, Europa passes twice, and Io passes four times.
