This weeks cellar series picks are open and ready for the glass! Francesco Rinaldi Brunate 2013 and Marco Marengo Brunate 2013.
This weeks selections come from the soils of La Morra, and specifically the crus vineyard of Brunate. This site produces richer, deeper and more dark red
fruit-accented Barolos than most other vineyard districts in La Morra.
In Charlie Broders words “hits you like a ton of bricks” and “sits somewhere between a solid and a liquid, the density of fruit holds its shape without a boundary, like mercury when you break a thermometer” 2013 is an exceptional vintage, the temperature rose gradually over the season resulting in beautiful, open and balanced wines.
Both now offered by the glass until they’re gone!
Special thanks to our assistant wine director clairemaxwell16 for sneaking into the frame.
