I have a lot of thoughts about yesterdays race, so many that I apologize if this post is a little incoherent 🤪 also running off a little less sleep than normal headed back to 🇺🇸
After a day spent reading so many thoughtful messages, I just want to say how thankful I feel to the track community! What a testament to how much people love the mile- I can’t think of a race where I’ve felt so connected to track fans and enjoyed the reaction to fast times in all my years of racing. Long live the mile! Thank you all for making it feel so special.
Second, it’s been really rewarding/hilarious to think back to the days when I used to tell my parents I would be the first girl to break the 4 minute mile barrier.
