There have been quite a few AJ1 collaborations over the years, but to me, the Blue Storm Unions are at the top of that list. Some will agree and some won’t, but one of the beautiful things about sneakers is that appreciation for them is very individual. I remember when Union released these and the black-toe pair. I missed out on getting both pairs for retail and hunted them down since. Once I was able to get them, I was very cautious wearing them, almost to the point of not wanting to wear them at all. One day I was wearing the black toe pair, and my son spilled some chocolate milk and some of it got on the tongue and stained it. After that, my hesitancy to wear them went out the window. Both Unions are my most worn AJ1s, and it really shows on the Blue Storm pair. Which in my opinion, makes them look better.
