This school year’s first edition of our hallmark Kairos Retreat was held in September as students and faculty participated in Kairos 121 at Notre Dame Retreat House in beautiful Canandaigua (ndspirituality).
Named for the Greek term meaning "God's time," the Kairos retreat offers students set-apart time to reflect more deeply on their experiences so far at Canisius and their relationship with self, God and others.
The retreat is led by a team of students and faculty members who share reflections, lead meditations and guide small-group discussions about identity, spirituality and personal growth.
At the close of this 121st CHS edition of Kairos, students left the Finger Lakes with a greater sense of their personal identity, community and familial belonging, as well as with a call to faith, discipleship and service.
The student leaders of Kairos 121 were Miles Abbate-Kirby, Clarence Funderburg, Simon Gates, Mark MacDonald, Cooper Prizel and Colton Schoenberger.
